The Many Faces of Nick Swift

Nick Swift is a 6' 5" comedy writer and performer.

He has shaken his comedy bits extensively on the circuit for several years and it's far too late to turn back now. Previously the dark loud one in three man gurn-fest Fit To Burst (sell-out Pleasance Edinburgh 2000, 2001), Nick then took a turn setting up cult character comedy night Hello Wembley! at The Hen & Chickens, London, before packing out houses with his solo-penned sketch shows Big Square Head and One Lady Owner,  the later of he had developed for radio with his writing partner Andrew McCaldon. They are currently working on several sitcom ideas for TV and radio. Nick also performs material across the London sketch and character comedy circuit on his own and with his old Fit To Burst chum, Pete Gold.

Nick's writing credits include Bearded Ladies (Radio 4 - he is just finished work on the third series), Swinging (Monkey), Distraction (TalkBack), a brace of pantomimes and a bevy of corporate videos (in which he both writes and performs). His TV credits include Sam's Game (Carlton), Brass Eye (TalkBack) and Metropolis (So TV), and he's done voice-overs and impressions for clients such as Sky Movies, Vodafone and Pizza Hut. Samples of his voice-over showreel and character are available at Excellent Voice. He directed cheeky boys Nice Mum in their sell-out Edinburgh show in 2004, and constantly gatecrashes their night Nice Mum Etc in Camden.

Nick has recently been seen on Nickelodeon TV playing cheesy ventriloquist Barney McMarney, getting pies in the face and generally falling into custard. Another recent job was hosting 360 Live for Sky TV, where he had to stare into the cleavage of an extra from Footballer's Wives. What a world.

Nick is a self-proclaimed cult. That's cult.
